Your equipment must fulfill certain criteria in order to be housed in our server housing.
- It must be rack-mountable and fit in a 19" standard rack (slide rails).
- For operational safety reasons, all devices must have at least two power supply units.
- Power must be supplied via IEC 60320 C13 or IEC 60320 C19. "Schuko" or plug-in power supplies cannot be used.
- The depth of the device must not be greater than 90cm and it should not weigh more than 35kg per rack unit. Devices which are larger or heavier than this can only be installed with special permission.
- The devices must be air-cooled and the air must flow from the front of the device (cold side) to the back.
- A terminal with mouse, keyboard and TFT monitor will be available in each server room for hardware and system-related maintenance work.
- The KIM will provide equipment for system wiring, if required.
