Introduction to the library
Our introductory events for first semester students
take place at the start of the semester. Up-coming dates will be posted on this page in due course.
Mo 16.04. - Fr 20.04. daily 12 in teaching area / Info-Zentrum of the library (1 h)
General introductory events
always take place on the first Wednesday of the month.
Meeting place: In front of the main entrance to the library, level B4.
The event itself will be held in the “Schulungsbereich” (training area), BA 420, located in the Library Information Centre.
You can also learn more about the library via our virtual introduction. To learn about our textbook collection, the semester reserve shelves or to find out the answers to questions such as: “What’s the point of referencing?”, please watch these explanatory films.
Courses and events
KIM offers various courses to University of Konstanz students at no cost. Attending these will allow you to acquire the necessary knowledge that you will need both during your studies and in your professional life.

Additional service offers
KIM advises researchers, students, lecturers, departments and university institutions on how to avoid text citation errors and plagiarism.
The writing consultation service provided by the university’s Writing Centre is available in the Library Information Centre. A study station (“Lerninsel”), located between the “Schulungszone” and the library café, is reserved for writing consultations.
