KOPS - Konstanz Online Publication System

Upload your publications to KOPS

Dear scientists and scholars,

You can contribute to making literature freely accessible for research and teaching. Exercise your secondary publication rights and provide a copy of your articles in journals and edited volumes on the institutional repository KOPS.

You can register publications in KOPS yourself, or contact KIM by email (kops.kim@uni-konstanz.de), and we will do this for you as a service. If possible, please also send us the full texts of the publications. We will check the publisher's terms and conditions to see whether a full text may be made freely available via KOPS.

Take advantage of the benefits of secondary publication offered by KOPS for yourself and all those who are interested in your contributions. There are no costs for you and the effort involved is manageable. The visibility of KOPS content is increased by the searchability in databases and all common search engines such as Google Scholar or Bing. KOPS also guarantees long-term archiving and ensures that articles can be cited by assigning a persistent identifier.

Feel free to contact us: kops.kim@uni-konstanz.de or get started right away at https://kops.uni-konstanz.de

KOPS and ORCID

Take advantage of ORCID and link your KOPS profile to the ORCID ID. After linking, you can easily transfer your publications from KOPS to the ORCID profile. The ORCID ID is stored in KOPS and is used to assign your publications correctly. You do not have an ORCID ID yet? Registration in ORCID is also possible via KOPS. Instructions for ORCID linking can be found here.

What is ORCID? Learn more about the Open Researcher and Contributor ID (ORCID).

What is KOPS?

KOPS is the institutional repository of the University of Konstanz and a service offered by KIM.

As a researcher at the university, you can publish your publications online in KOPS. The documents are freely accessible worldwide in the sense of Open Access and are permanently archived. KOPS has also served as a university bibliography since 2008, providing data for the university's reporting system.

Which services does KOPS offer?

  • All published full texts are made citable through permanent and stable links (URIs).
  • KOPS has been optimised for indexing by common search engines such as Google Scholar.
  • Publication lists from KOPS can be integrated by researchers directly into their personal websites (within the University of Konstanz website).
  • Publications from KOPS are automatically visible on the research platform SciKon.
  • Publication data from KOPS can be downloaded for use in reference management programmes, for example.
