Open Science Policy
The Senate and the Rectorate of the University of Konstanz adopted the University's Open Science Policy on 24 November 2021. The Open Science Policy integrates and updates the two existing policies of the University for the realisation of unrestricted and free access to scientific publications (Open Access) and for the sustainable publication and archiving of research data (Research Data Management). These are expanded to include additional fields of action in the areas of educational materials, science communication, software and administrative data.
Research Data Management plays a weighty role both in daily research operations and in the university's e-science strategy. Research Data Management is no longer a theory, but must be considered and applied in practice in every phase of research. Institutionalisation is anchored in the university's research data policy. The "Policy on Research Data Management" was adopted on 18.07.2018.
