Forwarding E-mails

You can forward e-mails from one account to another, with or without a copy. Please note: reliable delivery of forwarded mails to external inboxes (not @uni-konstanz.de) cannot be guaranteed. Depending on Spam and filter settings, some mails may be rejected without a warning message.

We only have full control over the forwarding of messages between internal inboxes (@uni-konstanz.de).

To set up or change your mail forwarding preferences, log in to SOGo:

  • Click on the cog icon (prefernces) next to your name on theleft-hand side of the screen.
  • In the preferences menu, select "Mail" and then select the "Forward" tab in the main window.
  • Tick the box to forward incoming messages and then enter the e-mail address you would like your mails to be sent to. You can also enter more than one address by separating them with a comma. However, for larger lists of addresses we recommend using mailing lists.
  • Tick the box "Keep a copy" to keep a copy of forwarded e-mails in your inbox. Please ensure you occasionally check the inbox to make sure you don't run out of storage space. If your inbox becomes full, e-mails will stop being forwarded.
  • Save your preferences by clicking on the green save icon.
