In the CWTS Leiden Ranking 2023, the University of Konstanz once again achieved the top position in the national comparison in the categories "Open Access" and "International Cooperation" as well as placements among the top 150 in the international comparison.

For energy conservation reasons, the library does not return to 24-hour opening after the semester break (August/September)-

Strategy workshop in Hegne: The management, department and subject area heads discuss the future of KIM.

April 4
Changeover to MARC-Fromat completed. This means that the MAB machine exchange format for libraries is now a thing of the past. After several years of lead time, the format changeover began on 3/24/22. We are now up to date and are supplied with the MARC data by the BSZ and K10Plus.

November 11th

KonDATA, the new research data management repository goes live. KonDATA allows researchers at the University to make the research data public.


November 2nd

The library is open 24/7 (shorter opening hours in N). All 1700 study spaces are available again and no longer need to be reserved via ZEuS.
KonSys goes live. The new tool for browsing the University of Konstanz Library classification scheme. Konsys replaces the "Schlagwort-Informations-System" SIS, which was in use from 2000.

The historical time recording system gives way to a digital solution.


October 1st

The project RE:ERUA starts.

May

Addition of the Akkumat - lockers for charging small devices like tablets and phones.

April 14th

The BIB-Wiki is deactivated.

January 12th

The click and collect service is available again after the lockdown. Students and external users are allowed access to the library to collect pre-ordered materials. Interlibrary loans are possible again.
