Revision of the D-classmarks (dissertations) is completed.

The library is no longer accessible for students or external users.
Study spaces cannot be booked.
Click and collect is stopped.
Staff can have books sent to their home addresses. Interlibrary loans are not possible.
December 14th
The library's opening hours are shortened to 7pm due to the nighttime curfew.
November 3rd
90 Study spaces are available in the N library. To begin with three time slots are available to book. From 30th November this is changed to one slot due to low demand.
November 2nd
The winter semester begins.

Office hours are offered for E-Learning

IT-Support ist available at the KIM-Beratung for two hours per day.
July 28th
Fines and returns notices are reactivated.
July 20th
External users can now also order books via click and collect and interlibrary loan.
The number of bookable study spaces is increased to 450 per slot and the times extended.
The Mediothek opens from Mon - Fri 9am - 12pm

KIM.Mediaboxes can be borrowed from the KIM-Beratung
June 29th
Teachers can take online exams via a digital exam ILIAS. The first online exams will be available from 2 July.

Partial reopening of the book areas as workspacesfor students (300 places can be reserved via ZEuS in 2 time slots per day).
- May 14th
Books can be ordered via the local catalogue for collection. Access to the Information Centre is available via the emergency entrance from Mon-Fri from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.. Members of the university can pick up their orders (The conditions: 10 persons only with face mask at the same time, access to the self-lending stations, to borrow or return media and pick up interlibrary loans from the lending service). All other areas of the Info Centre and the book areas are closed.

The KIM scans articles and sent them via e-Mail to students.
- April 22nd
Our local suppliers deliver books to 5 selected home office employees. There, the books are processed by all teams.
- April 20th
The summer semester starts as a digital semester.
- April 17th
For employees books are sent to their home adress.
- April 16th
The web conference systems BigBlueButton, Cisco WebEx, DFNconf and Zoom go live.
- April 7th
Content is migrated from the BIB-Wiki to the KIM-Wiki. The BIB-Wiki is now read-only.
- April 1st
The in-house delivery service KonDoc could be resumed. Staff members of KIM return to the Campus.
- March 26nd
The university is closed due to the corona pandemic. The start of the summer semester is postponed. The library is also closed. KIM members work in home-office.

Reorganization of KIM - instead of 9 there are now only 7 departments. The offices will be reallocated.

The University of Constance remains excellent. With the motto "creative together", it is only one of a total of 6 universities that have been excellence universities since 2007

The only departmental library of limnology at the University of Konstanz was dissolved. The holdings were deposited in the cellar area at J 1.

change of the integrated library system Libero from the client-based version 5 to the web-based version 6. During this time the library works offline.

2017
- 19 June - end 2017
Relocation of the library media began on 19 June and will probably be finished by the end of 2017. All media stored in the external depot are moved back to campus to rejoin the collections housed there.

The semester reserve shelf office moves from J 401 to BH 300, including the semester reserve shelves.

Book area BG opens.
- 23 January
Official opening of the new dedicated parent-child area in the library café managed by Seezeit, the Library and the Office for Equal Opportunity, Family Affairs and Diversity.
2016
- 9 November
The law collections housed in the external depot return to the campus.
- 17 October
Opening of the new reading room between book areas BS and BG on level 6. The new reading room has space for 60 individual users, providing perfect conditions for uninterrupted, calm, concentrated and quiet work.
- September - October
New carpets are laid in book area N, on level 4 and on the stairs in book area J. Book area N receives a new staff counter as well as new sockets.
- 30 May
The KIM homepage appears in the new corporate design for the first time.
- 25 - 30 May
Migration of the entire Libero system to a new OCSL server, causing interruptions to regular library operations.
- 1 April
All old printers and copying machines on campus are removed and new ones installed.
- 18 March
The first part of the items stored in the external depot returns to book area BS, the library information centre and book area BJ. The rest followed once reconstruction work in book area BG was finished in 2017.
