Interlibrary loan

To place orders for the media you need

• Students: student number 01/… + University password 
• Employees: staff number 03/… + library password
• External users: library card number 05/… + library password

You can order your desired item via interlibrary loan portal.

What can be ordered: 

• books and partial copies (max. 10% of the complete work)
• journals and partial copies (complete artices)
• DVDs/ Blu-ray Discs 
• CDs
• Micro materials

What cannot be ordered:

• Media listed in the catalog of the University of Konstanz, including currently borrowed items, as well as items for in-library use (yellow dot)
• Electronic resources
• Publications available at a lower price of 20 euros or less
• Recently published media
• Media in the acquisition process 
• Unpublished media
• DIN/ISO standards 

• Students of the University of Konstanz: 1,50 Euro
• External users: 1,50 Euro
• For employees of the University of Konstanz, the costs will be covered

Please note that the fee must also be paid in case the order is not fulfilled positively. Please consider that this is an ordering fee and not a delivery fee. If the item is not deliverable after the ordering process, the fee is still payable.

The delivery time is usually 1-2 weeks.

The media is usually borrowed for a period of four weeks and may be extended for another four weeks if necessary.

As usual, you will receive a notification via email as soon as your interlibrary loan is ready for pickup at the lending service desk.

You will also be notified of any further status changes.

Should the literature you require not be available in Germany, you have the option to place an international order. Please feel free to contact us for further assistance.

Please note that the lending libraries lend the requested materials according to their own terms and conditions, over which document delivery has no influence:

• reduced loan period
• availability only in the Rare Books Reading Room
• prohibition on scanning
• scanning permitted only by specialized staff
• prohibition on photocopying
