International Data Week brings together a global community of data scientists and data stewards; researchers from all domains; data, interoperability and informatics experts from all fields (including geoinformatics, bioinformatics, cheminformatics etc); industry leaders, entrepreneurs and policymakers.

This year, the International Data Week will take place from 23 to 26 October in Salzburg, Austria. The Research Data Alliance Deutschland Verein (RDA DE e.V.) is offering up to five scholarships for students to attend this event. Young researchers with a research focus or interest in the areas of data management / data science / research data and open science are eligible.

The funding includes the participation fee and a travel allowance and enables the participation in an internationally renowned event and the networking and exchange of the scholarship holders with each other and with data experts from all over the world.

A letter of motivation and proof of affiliation to the university are required for the application. The application deadline is 30.06.2023.
