How to setup the VPN Remote-Access for Android
This manual only works with Android 4.0 or higher.
Instead of using the AnyConnect-Software, the freely available OpenConnect App will be used.
Before we start, you have to download and save the Telekom Root Certificate as a file. It can be downloaded from the following link:
Please pay attention, that the certificate is available as a file, i.e. saved in your downloads-folder. Some Android-Browsers (such as Firefox for Android) try to install the certificate as soon as you tip the link and leave a message that the certificate is already installed on the device. In this case, leave your finger on the link for a couple of seconds until the context menu appears, allowing you to save the file (i.e. through the option 'Save Link'). If this won't work either, try temporarily switching to another browser in order to download and save as a file. Chrome, for example, does support downloading certificates as files.
Step 1: Installation of the app
Please install the "OpenConnect"-App from the Google-Playstore. A direct link to the app in the Playstore is being provided by the QR-Code found below.

Step 2: Creation of the configuration
Open the OpenConnect App and hit the + at the bottom.
Now, insert "vpn.uni-konstanz.de" as the server.
Hit Ok and a dialogue will open. In it, hit the entry CA Certificate and select the previously downloaded Telekom certificate.
Save the configuration by hitting the "back"-Button of your device.
Step 3: Establishing the connection
Now, hit the entry "Uni-Konstanz".
In it, select "vpn.uni-konstanz.de" as the group and insert your username and password. Finally, hit Ok.
You should be connected now.
